About Worldcon

What is Worldcon:

Worldcon (World Science Fiction Convention), is an annual convention of the World Science Fiction Society (WSFS). It was first held in New York in 1939, and has been held continuously 77 years except for the years during WWII.

Each year, Worldcon attracts many Sci-Fi creators and fandom around the world, gathering them together to celebrate this world affair. The form in this convention is diverse. It is not just about the written word. Over the decades, Worldcon has grown to embrace science fiction in all the forms in which it appears, including film, TV, art, comics, anime and manga, and gaming.

What happens at Worldcon:

As the biggest Sci-Fi convention, each year, Worldcon will announce the winner of the most prestigious and famous award: HUGO award (The Science Fiction Achievement Award). Worldcon has developed many different activities. Mainly, there are three parts of this convention:
